hmcquade
Well it was long over due, I had a sleep study Oct. 11th and my Pulmonologist said I have sleep apnea. I go back in for another test using a C-PAP next Saturday. Anyone win a Sleep Apnea claim? Thanks, Hugh

0 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Vync Posted November 1, 2014 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Share Posted November 1, 2014 Hugh, Have not tried to SC it yet, but use CPAP machine in BIPAP mode for SA. Same question here as Georgiapapa. I hope you will be able to get it SC. Good luck! Tip: The mask might take some time to get used to it. If the regular mask doesn't work well, they might have a few different types, including some nasal-only masks. Also, if they offer you a silicone nose cushion, accept it! It helps make the mask more comfortable.

0 georgiapapa
Hugh, You and I are about the same age so I know you have been out of the service for several years. Unless there is some mention of OSA in your SMRs or symptoms of OSA in your SMRs, I think service connecting your OSA will be difficult if not impossible. The only other possibility of service connecting your OSA is for you to have a strong IMO from a sleep disorder specialist (pulmonologist, ENT doctor, etc.) showing your OSA is secondary to one of your current service connected conditions. The opinion rendered by the sleep disorder specialist will have to be supported by reasonable medical rationale. Keep us posted. I wish you luck and take care of yourself.
