Question

I just received retro for my daughter going to school. This was attached to my unempoloyability claim. Does this mean I was turned down for unempoloylabilty? Also the amount for the retro seems low as it was for two years. I know I receive almost $300.00 for my son.

We need more information to answer your question. You show you are at 80%. Have you looked on ebenefits to see if your TDIU was awarded? Most likely, you should get a RO decision soon, that will answer your questions. Sometimes the retro comes before the decision. The decision will specify the effective date, and, often your number of dependents. If you are eligible for DEA, then this means you are being paid at the 100 percent rate and considered permanent and total. For you, this suggests you have been awarded IU.

Were you getting compensated for dependents before? Any ratings above 30 percent include dependent compensation.
