So I won my appeal.

I was awarded a 30% increase from 10% for my ulcerative colitis.

The 10% rating was effective May of 2010. The Veterans Law Judge from the Board of Veteran's Appeals ordered " A 30 percent rating, but no more, for colitis, subject to the laws and regulations governing the payment of monetary benefits."

I am curious when and if I will see an increase. Before this rating I was 40% service connected. 20%+10%+10%+10%.

So my questions are:

1. Will I get retro back to 2010?

2. Will I get an increase per VA math?

3. When is it possible for me to see any of this?

Thank you for your time.

Congratulations!!

According to the disability calculator, your new rating is 60%.http://www.vvaarizona.org/combined_disability.php

Yes you would get retro to the effective date.

As far as a time frame, the VA takes its sweet time with Veterans benefits, but pays its employees on time, every time.

In calculating your retro, you only get the "old" rates, not the current ones, and have to deduct any monies already received.

Just an update.

Still no news on ebenefits. I am not sure if I will see any since the appeal part is down.

Any idea if this is normal? That is getting the letter from the VLJ and nothing showing up on Ebennies. Or does the letter just mean I have to wait on my regional office now?
