Preparation for Decision. Ok....

Question

Hi Everyone,

I am familiar with this section, but I was curious what timeline people have had during this part of their claim.

I never had any C&P exams, but this claim has to do with gulf war stuff. I assume they'll either finish this claim up with a denial, or send it back to evidence phase and send me to a C&P.

Thoughts?

I don't think anyone would venture a guess as to an average time. My remand went from prep for decision to awaiting decision approval back to gathering of evidence before it was decided. It could be within 30 days, or ??? Depends on your RO, their workload and the complexity of the claim.

Limbo is status quo for the VARO.

Since this is a new claim, I'm hoping it's the 2-4 weeks that I've seen in the past. Like you noted, they never did a C&P exam, so it might end up back in evidence phase.

It could also be treated as presumptive depending on the evidence you provided. You never know - could be quick.

My last 2 claims sat in Prep for Decision for over 2 months, and one almost 3 then went back to Gathering of Evidence.
