US NAVY DAV

Question

100% SC DAV are given a $10000 20 payment life policy.  There is an option to increase to an additional 30000 for a fee which looks like it would be a dollar or two for every thousand @ 30k.  So it seems as if it may be 20 to 40 dollars.

My question is other companies do it cheaper, what is the benefit to this supplemental plan?

Considering age and level of disability, industry policies may be difficult to obtain and more expensive.  I'd do some checking to see where you can get the best coverage for your $

Well I am 30, so most policies would be the normal prices and what not.  Looking at the prices from USAA I suppose I am lost.

Keep in mind that the S-DVI from the VA also requires you to not be gainfully employed. I applied for it and they rejected the free $10,000 deal because I still had a job.

Wow, those numbers look great. I'm 44 and am going to look into the rates they have for me. I checked with Allstate recently, but they are nowhere near that.

Right I got the $10,000 and they had a paper inside talking about the supplemental which is why I am looking at it.
