C&P exams

To anyone reading this. You may at anytime go to your local Varo and request a copy of any C&P exam from your c-file. They can not deny you access, nor do you have to request a freedom of info. You request, they print. Do not allow them to bs you.

last i checked, that wasn't the policy at my local clinic. they will give you copies of your exam after adjudication. it was because one of the c&p docs was getting bombarded with angry calls from veterans who had copies of their exams prior to a decision being made.

 

don't know when or if things changed. last i heard, it was up to each varo, va hospital or va clinic when or if to release the notes. i surmise, the exam results could be withheld from my healthevet until decision day.

All you have to do is go to the local BVA office at your local VA hospital and request a copy of it.  I had a QTC C&P exam and within a week of knowing it had been sent to the VA, I went to the BVA and requested a copy.  They printed it right there for me.

My C&Ps were printed/entered into VA medical record, AKA "VA NOTES" and were/are accessible through "myhealthevet" Blue Button.  Just login and download to your own PC.  Some took 3-4 weeks to post, but all recent C&Ps have been posted.
