Question

I wear hearing aides in both ears. about 80% loss left ear, about 50% right ear, and vertigo nearly all the time. I have read alot on hadit on this subject, so pulled My medical records and they do have hearing testing on them. I can see there was some loss of hearing during my tour. My scanner is broken so I will type them out and see if It's enough loss to file a claim. I don't have all my medical records but do have one instance where I went to the clinic twice. complaining of my hearing. The first time they cleaned my ears, and went back in two days and was pronounced healed. Maybe someone can tell me if I should file a claim. The va does furnish my hearing aides since I am 50% ptsd.

Hearing evaluation:

http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-....41&idno=38

Tinnitus:

6260 Tinnitus, recurrent........................................ 10

Note (1): A separate evaluation for tinnitus may be combined

with an evaluation under diagnostic codes 6100, 6200, 6204,

or other diagnostic code, except when tinnitus supports an

evaluation under one of those diagnostic codes.

Note (2): Assign only a single evaluation for recurrent

tinnitus, whether the sound is perceived in one ear, both

ears, or in the head.

Note (3): Do not evaluate objective tinnitus (in which the

sound is audible to other people and has a definable cause

that may or may not be pathologic) under this diagnostic

code, but evaluate it as part of any underlying condition

causing it.

Good luck,

carlie

WHAT?

WHAT DID YOU SAY?

I can't hear you, your ears are ringing too loudly!

"It is cold and we have no blankets.

The little children are freezing to death.

My people, some of them, have run away to the hills, and have no blankets, no food; no one knows where they are-perhaps freezing to death.

I want to have time to look for my children and see how many of them I can find.

Maybe I shall find them among the dead.

Hear me, my chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad.

From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever."

I was told by the audio lab that anything over 25 is considered hearing loss. 0 is perfect 120 the extreme worst. You have two frequencies of < 25 in the left ear, therefore possibly allowing for SC. Where are the results of your 4000, 5000, 6000? VA must consider all the frequencies. Jets make noise at the rates from 1000 to 8000 Mhtz. Exposure to jet noise for three years can cause damage.

Here is an example of what the format looks like. The dots on the grid are what your hearing would be.

Just readin the mail

Excerpt from the 'Declaration of Independence'

We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity
