I filed for disability in Dec. 2015. Last week I received a letter stating the only medical records which could be found were from MEPS. Nothing more.
Fast forward a week later and I get a phone call from the VA saying they want me to make an appointment to see them.
Since this is my first run in with the VA. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions? Should I bring my own personal doctors medical records to support my argument, etc....

Assuming you are talking about a VHA appointment. I would recommend sending the Dr. a Secure message, giving a full run down of your conditions, the pain you are experiencing, etc... in great detail.

syne7 you stated ''This messages become part of your VA notes and permanent record.'' Are you referring to Myhealthvet Notes? If so what is the time line for the secure messages
