Rate this question

Question

Will someone help if I am not here next week?

Everything he needs to know should be in our DIC forum…no spouse, no DIC— hope he joins.....

Just burial info           but ..this might be a FTCA case..I will deal with that when  I get back

Marine death and the new member will be a Marine…I think I gave his friend all the info but maybe not…

I think it is all in DIC Forum .

Thanks Broncovet----I dont know if there is a spouse.

Also I learned the deceased vet was an organ donor, and the brother said he was told the autopsy could take weeks or months so he felt that meant he ,the brother, could put off the burial. But autopsy has nothing to do with burial....except if cremation is needed, instead of full body  casket, that might be a problem .. because our cemetery is running out of space and all attached farm land has been purchased and./or donated. My USAF neighbor called the brother- while I was making coffee and I got this all third party so the USAF vet friend (who worked in the VA cemetery before he retired, ) is going there today to get more info.

Cremains for spouses have to be put on top of cremains of veteran. Full Caskets are the same too.

Maybe they can put cremains on top of a casket....not sure....I dont know if there is a spouse....I need to go over the DIC and Burial info here when I get time. The above info is something I never thought about until someone at my church (he picked out my next husband for me sort of )..a Very nice vet widower, and asked me if I marry this guy, what about my VA plot deed....I never thought about that in 22 years. or even thought about marriage again....
