Pete - not sure what you are asking now. Is your SA service connected? If you had symptoms immediately upon your departure from service which can be commented on by your wife then that may help.

All I was saying in my previous post is that if your are trying for a nexus by saying your HTN or DM is the cause of your SA then you have an up hill battle. However, it can be won with an IMO that has a very strong rationale. :angry:

Mine was service connected because I complained of sleep problems with day time tiredness in service, followed by 5 years of continued complaints and treatment with diet and medicine and stroke. The rating decision commented on the fact that my doctor had noted in his opinion the fact that I had DM and HTN which was favored by a portion of the medical community as being a cause of SA. However, it was my complaints and treatment and lay evidence of symptoms from my wife that pushed it over the top.
