Sounds possible:

1. Event/injury in service or current SC disability for which this could be considered as secondary
2. Current diagnosis
3. Medical opinion connecting 1 and 2

For the opinion, your doc would need to state something to the effect of your currently diagnosed {name of disability} was "as likely as not", "more likely than not", or "is due to" the item from #1 above. It is recommended they indicate they reviewed your medical records (from #1 above) plus provide medical rationale to connect everything together.
