Where are decision letters mailed from?

Question

Its been a few years since I received a decision.  If my memory serves me I though the letters came from the RO.  I am expecting a decision as ebenifits says notification sent on October 17.  This is a regular increase decision not an appeal.

Is the letter physically sent from the RO or do all decisions come from Wisconsin or somewhere else now?

It seems like its take a bit long as I'm about 2-3 days regular mail from my RO.

Hi bigoc!! When I received my award letter, it came from the "evidence intake processing center" in Wisconsin. It's either from Wisconsin or the Regional Office itself. Not sure how backlogged your RO is, but I would estimate about 1-2 more weeks. Keep an eye on the mailbox and stay optimistic!!

It depends on who works your claim, what R.O. (Regional Office)

when we file these claims they are sent to the Janesville Wi Veteran Processing Center, there they are distributed to Any R.O. able to work the claim

example

My R.O. is Waco Tx

The Processing Center sent my claim to the Salt Lake City Ut  R.O  To work the claim..so my award letter came from Salt Lake City, Ut

It's design that way to get to our claims faster, so if your R.0. is logged down with claims the processing center will find an R.O. That is not logged down.

I believe this is for new claims , claims for increase, claims for EED. And Appeal claims.

if veteran elects a Hearing Review Then usually they send instructions about the hearing and date and location/time of hearing  to your local R.O.

Going on 9 days now.  I am wondering if there is a RO in the Pacific(my letter must be on a sailing ship)?  I'm on the east coast.  Unless the letter is stuck int he mail room somewhere a letter does not take more than a week to transit the US.

Postal Service while a Government sponsored private company is sometimes not the best, they get letters to where  they need to go in a timely fashion.

There is no way a letter supposedly mailed on the 17th of October has not arrived anywhere on the country by now.  There has to be a few days of delay before a decision letter leaves a VA RO.
