Question

I just had a total knee replacement 3 weeks ago. I had 2 weeks in home physical therapy. I finished the in home physical therapy and today started physical therapy at VA. Just wondered how long you guys who had total knee replacement went to VA  physical therapy before they were released after maximum treatment? I will be going twice a week.

This article might be helpful to get an idea of what to expect. Page 2 indicates you should expect to work with a therapist for at least a few weeks with most taking care of themselves after three to six weeks. Of course, your progress may vary depending on how well your recovery is going.
