Cavman
Everyone gets one of those (form letters) every few weeks when a claim or appeal is filed. Some here have said you get one everytime the claim moves, but I have no proof of that. I think I got 3 in a 9 month waiting period. Mark, my experience is the same as Cavman's. If I didn't have any receipt for my claims filing, I'd save the "processing letters" just to prove the VARO actually received my claim. Berta
I received two of these during last 2 -3 months- the claim had moved first to a specialist then to a rater- Prior to that I got one about 3 years ago. I believe that movement of the claim triggers them to send out these form letters. GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University ! When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we." Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

I wish I had a nickel for every letter like this that the va sent to me. Mark, as others have said this is SOP, a form letter sent to all veteans. I think they employ one person at each of the regional offices just to send this letter. Accept it as proof they have your claim, other wise it is just another piece of paper.
