Question

I submitted a supplemental claim VA form 20-0995 for asthma off the presumptive list after being denied in the past. My question is I found another thing that i qualify for should i wait till the first one is done then file the second one or should I file it now? If I file now how will that effect the first one? Will it start over or will it just be 2 separate one with different dates?

Thanks

I would not wait to file for the second condition, you file either an "intent to file" or file your claim as soon as you can to preserve your Effective Date. If you wait to file until after you get the first claim adjudicated, you could be waiting years. Don't wait, file now. I don't have the experience to say otherwise, and others may chime in with much more institutional knowledge than I have, but that is what I would do.

@Sgt. Wilky great answer. In my past experiences, I had an open claim and then decided to file a new claim on top of the open claim. The open claim was delayed being that VA wanted to combine both together. Did not mess up the effective date, but was a little delay.

But I do agree, file asap being that lots of vets are in the same boat.
