My husband was medically retired after 13 years in March of 2014. His initial rating was 90% SC for PTSD, back issues, migraines, TMJ, knee issues and TBI. We had no idea what IU was until November of 2014, when they increased his PTSD to 70% and told us they had deferred the claim. We waited several months for the "future correspondence" they mentioned in the rating letter, but ended up filing the IU claim on ebenefits January 2015.
We have had most of the typical delays, but are finally starting to see some movement in his claim during the last week. C&P was completed in March and up until June, when ebenefits said they "needed from others" they were actually saying they needed C&P results from themselves. Once we made a phone call, that notification disappeared. We were also told he would need a PTSD reviews, despite having one last November, when the increase was granted.
In the past two weeks, the request for the PTSD review has disappeared and now nothing is "needed from others." In the last week, we have noticed two new requests under "needed from you": both are regarding second signatures. It looks like this:
Request 1
Due Date: Not AvailableStatus: Initial Review Complete
We assume that because it says "no longer needed" that we don't need to worry about it. I have searched and googled, etc., but haven't been able to find any info regarding second signatures in the gathering evidence phase. I know that ebenefits is notoriously inaccurate, so I am guessing that his claim may be further along than gathering evidence and it just isn't updated?
Does anyone have input or guesses to what is going on? I sent an IRIS message and have a callback scheduled for tomorrow, but we know how those things can go...hoping to get through to someone this week, but wondering if anyone else had experience with this.

My first post here, so bear with me...
