X-Ray ordered weeks after exam!

Question

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I had a C&P exam 3 weeks ago for my back claim and the VA just set me up to have a X-Ray for my back.  My question is why would the VA  order a x-ray weeks after I already had the exam with the doctor.  The doctor already told me the my back condition is related to my service.

Thanks for any reply.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving fellow vets, and spouses of vets!

Well, the xray may be good.  Maybe.  You see there are 2 issues here:

1.  Whether your condition is related to service, AND

2.  The degree of disability.  This is where an x ray may be very important, since you posted the doc opined its service connected.  An xray can be very important evidence to document the severity of your injury.

Yes, that is what I am hoping that is what it is all about.  I go to have my x-ray tomorrow.  Well of course I'm hoping to find out the severity of my back condition.  They did send me a letter saying that they were ordering a c& p exam to determine the severity of my disability.   If i know the VA there are trying to find that my back condition is  not related to my service.
