Mirtazapine

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

This last week I finally got to see a new mental health care provider. In adittion to all the other meds I'm on, she put me on this new med mirtazapine for sleep & pain, etc. She told me I might feel hung over the next morning. And boy, she was NOT lying. Talk about a buzz on!!!! I would not recommend drinking while taking this med! Anyone else on it?????

I took that drug and I could not wake up for the whole day afterwards. I am going to ask that the doctor put me on something else. I am hung over enough from pain meds without that Mirtazapine. I am glad to see I am not the only one who has had that reaction.

goofy,

I have been taking Mertazapine also known as Remeron for over two years.

I had a problem swallowing the pill so I get the Disintegrating Tabs.

I take 90MG per night, plus 300MG of Seroquel and 1.5 MG of

Clonazepam.

After you take the Mirtazapine for awhile it will level out and you

won't feel so hung-over. You will probably wake up parched and very dry mouthed.

I second what carlie said, it will level out and to me it will put me to sleep but it doesnt last through out the night, you may try and give it some time and see if it does the same to you, just a suggestion.
