Bonzai
Permanent and Total (P&T) is awarded when the VA decides that your condition is not likely to improve. It is normally award after an extended period of time where your condition has not improved, or has worsened over the years. Even so, the VA can and does review 100% P&T veterans for improvements in their conditions. Hope this helps... Louis
HadIt.com Elder Philip Rogers Posted March 7, 2010 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted March 7, 2010 You could get P&T, depending on how long you've had PTSD, your current age or how long your claim has been active but it is usually unusual to get P&T, unless you're currently 55yo or older. pr If awarded 100% PTSD is P&T automatic or how does that work? JOHN1
I am 61 yrs old and have been 30% for 3 years and have file for increase and IU. Have not been able to work for five years and doc say I can not go into the workplace. My condition has really worsened in the past five- ten years. Thanks John Edited March 7, 2010 by JOHN1

HadIt.com Elder Philip Rogers Posted March 8, 2010 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted March 8, 2010 Should you get rated 100% or TDIU you should be P&T, due to your age, when and if they are awarded. Rather than request an increase, any way to file a CUE or appeal the original 30% award??? pr I am 61 yrs old and have been 30% for 3 years and have file for increase and IU. Have not been able to work for five years and doc say I can not go into the workplace. My condition has really worsened in the past five- ten years.
