  1. Since you don't want the TDIU, you don't have any problem except for the fact that it is almost impossible to reach 100% with combined ratings. I have heard of people with over 160% combine disabilities which can't reach 100% compensation because of the formula VA have to rate the combine disabilities. I believe that is one of the reasons they have TDIU. If you become unable to work due to your disabilities, you can apply for it but, since you don't want that, then is of no concern to you. What I am telling you is with the little knowledge I have. There are great moderators and knowledgable people here that can explain it much, much better than I can. God bless U, always.
  2. I recently received the answer for the claim I filed in Dec, 2011. I was awarded 20% for my Degenerative Disc Disease with radiculopathy left and right extremities secondary to my service connected disability for 20%. They also granted me entitlement to individual unemployedability and determined my conditions to be permanent and total in nature. I thank God first of all, the Disable American Veterans for their representation in my case, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. I exhort all of you to continue on with your claims, never to give up, and continue on requesting what you earned and deserved. God bless you all, always. Thanks for all the input and support you gave me whil in my journey Sincerely, Orlando Zambrana.
  3. I am service connected for both thumbs. 10% each. I also developed CTS in both hands. I am thinking in an operation to repair this because is very painful and it really bothers me. My question is: Is this in anyway connected to the Arthritis? Also, can I claim a higher rating because of this?
  4. I have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia/Depressed, Schizophrenia, MajorDepresiveDisorder, and PTSD. I have never filed any claim for this with the VA. I was released from the Army in Nov 14, 1984. I first contacted VA clinic concerning my mental issues in 1988. After that, I surrender to drugs and alcohol to cope with that as well as my physical disabilities. I have been attending the clinic on and off since then. I've been hospitalized for it a couple of times and, I am currently under medications. Seroquel, Remorone. I was a paratrooper and in the graduation jump there was an incident in which two guys collided in mid air and plunged to the ground leaving them death or very injured, that, have hunted me for sometime as well as an car accident I had back in the service. Now days I live under a lot of stress and depression due to my conditions. I don't have proof of the jump but I would imagine it should be recorded. I do have poof of the car accident. Should I open a claim for this or should I just leave it alone??? Thank you very much..
  5. Back in Apr 1984 while at Ft. Bragg, NC., I developed an ear pain that almost busted my ear drum. After a few years I developed this ringing in my ears and was told by the doctor that there is no medication and no cure for this. I let it go and continue to live with this situation and got somewhat use to it. later in years it started to bother me to the point of not being able to sleep. I spoke to an Army friend which told me that I can file for compensation with the VA. I file my claim in Sept. 2009 and was denied. I appeal it and, I am waiting for their decision. What are my chances of getting any compensation since the only proof I have is the medical report from 1984 which state that I had an ear infection with almost ear drum busted. I have no other proof or doctors follow ups, and I was so naive as not to know anything about it. Any input is greatly appreciated
  6. I have an examination date for Jan 23, 2012. I am 20% for my Lower back. I recently received an MRI showing that my problem has gotten worse from my last MRI dated December 5, 2007. I know they base their decision on ROM. I should not exceed a foward movement of 30 degrees or more, otherwise, I would stay at 20%. My question is,What other movement, positions, etc, would they have me do in order to make their determination? Your cooperation in helping me with this question is greatly appreciated.
  7. Thank you very much. I don't know what ROM means but, I believe what u say about filling for an increase because my condition has worsen.
  8. I have a 50% combined disability in which I only receive 40% payment. Of that 20% is for Degenerative Arthritis of the spine. I was recently diagnosed by VA with L5 grade 1 posterolisthesis and Degenerative disc and facet disease, increased. I believe my condition is getting worse and I was told by a VA doctor that I was not getting what I was supposed to get monetary wise. Can you help me with this. Is it true and should I claim and increased due to this new findings?
