  1. How do you say you are 90% disability yet no VA rating?

Your medical records will have this information. Navy Corpsman and Army medics use the SOAP methodology...get that information and you are gold. I have my IED exposure documented and I only lost temporary consciousness.

  2. Don't do anything, just wait it out. All the contacting Senators, Congressman, writing letters to the Sec. of the VA, calling the 1-800 number, asking your VSO for help DO NOTHING BUT DELAY YOUR CLAIM. My claim took over two years then it hit special actions (program by VA to speed up cases over 24 months old) and in 2 months I was paid.

The truth is the VA is a waiting game. I did all of the above, showed financial hardship, showed couldn't work, had military records and civilian records of problem and they still put me in line like everyone else.

    Sucks but its the truth.

  3. I was never sent a form from the VA for TDIU. It was my VFW rep who said I need to fill it all out. My brown envelope didn't even consider TDIU for approval or denial. I have not been able to keep/get a job since I got off active duty.

No I didn't keep a copy of the record I was thinking the VFW would act in my best interest. --> Should I do another claim online through Ebenefits?

Another thing is I'm doing weekly meetings for PTSD, seeing my neuro weekly, seeing my social worker weekly, and then biweekly with another doc. How could I ever get a job with all these meetings? The VA only works during working hours so it's impossible to get anything on the weekend unless one is dying.

  4. So I'm 80% SC at rates of 60%,20%, and 10%. My VSO is the VFW and they sent me a VA form for TDIU with everything filled in and I just signed it. It just stated that I haven't worked since my last deployment and they with my Dr. visits and low GAF I meet the requirements of the federal statute.

So my original claim took over 28 months to get settled and I got a rather large retro, regardless how long does a TDIU claim take? Will I need another C&P? What information will they want? Is this like a new claim or will the start date go back to the original filing date?

Really some good advice will help me out.

  5. @Douglas Kessler - I had to say this but how you say your goal is to get 100% SC for different ailments, makes me think you are gaming the system. Sorry if you just expressed what you meant wrong. Please start your own thread and wait before asking somewhere else.

  6. well the dr wouldn't fill out anything other than what was sent to her by the VA. She looked at my medical information I brought and my MRI and said she'll note that I have further problems. I can't stand this stupid C&P with an outside source to confirm exactly what the VA already has. Now I guess the waiting game to hear back from the VA rater.

  7. Yes I have a DD215 and medical stuff from my IED. I have three different C&Ps with different docs.

    (1) PTSD - to include 6 15min sessions? Really that long to talk about everything, what more do they need?

    (2) TBI - to include review for headaches, arm numbness, compressed discs, etc

    (3) Hearing and Tinnitus

What can I expect from all this? What are they going to do in 6 15min sessions?

I mailed in my DD215 copy and copies of my medical documentation and will bring them to my appointments. What else do I need to do?
