  1. Amazing how they can speed things up to make compensation harder to receive yet can't speed things up to make compensation EASIER.
  2. How do you say you are 90% disability yet no VA rating? Your medical records will have this information. Navy Corpsman and Army medics use the SOAP methodology...get that information and you are gold. I have my IED exposure documented and I only lost temporary consciousness.
  3. Don't do anything, just wait it out. All the contacting Senators, Congressman, writing letters to the Sec. of the VA, calling the 1-800 number, asking your VSO for help DO NOTHING BUT DELAY YOUR CLAIM. My claim took over two years then it hit special actions (program by VA to speed up cases over 24 months old) and in 2 months I was paid. The truth is the VA is a waiting game. I did all of the above, showed financial hardship, showed couldn't work, had military records and civilian records of problem and they still put me in line like everyone else. Sucks but its the truth.
  4. Ok so I just checked and I messed up my ratings. I am actually rated 70% PTSD, 10% Hearing, 10% Ulnar neuropathy.
  5. My GAF was 41 on the date of my C&P for PTSD and TBI. I requested over 8 months ago my C file and have never received so I don't know if my unemployability was addressed.
  6. I was never sent a form from the VA for TDIU. It was my VFW rep who said I need to fill it all out. My brown envelope didn't even consider TDIU for approval or denial. I have not been able to keep/get a job since I got off active duty. No I didn't keep a copy of the record I was thinking the VFW would act in my best interest. --> Should I do another claim online through Ebenefits? Another thing is I'm doing weekly meetings for PTSD, seeing my neuro weekly, seeing my social worker weekly, and then biweekly with another doc. How could I ever get a job with all these meetings? The VA only works during working hours so it's impossible to get anything on the weekend unless one is dying.
  7. So I'm 80% SC at rates of 60%,20%, and 10%. My VSO is the VFW and they sent me a VA form for TDIU with everything filled in and I just signed it. It just stated that I haven't worked since my last deployment and they with my Dr. visits and low GAF I meet the requirements of the federal statute. So my original claim took over 28 months to get settled and I got a rather large retro, regardless how long does a TDIU claim take? Will I need another C&P? What information will they want? Is this like a new claim or will the start date go back to the original filing date? Really some good advice will help me out.
  8. @Douglas Kessler - I had to say this but how you say your goal is to get 100% SC for different ailments, makes me think you are gaming the system. Sorry if you just expressed what you meant wrong. Please start your own thread and wait before asking somewhere else.
  9. I never got a brain MRI. I got a two MRIs on my neck and shoulder. Even at my C&P I never got an MRI. If there isn't damage imagery in the MRI but I have symptoms should I pursue this issue? I don't want to waste the VAs time or mine if this truly just ptsd.
  10. Ok it looks like I have a fight on my hands. I have medical records showing I was in an IED and lost consciousness yet I was denied TBI with an explanation that it is PTSD. Any advice on how to get them to see the TBI and not classify it as PTSD?
  11. Sorry I meant Dec 2012. I checked the VA site and Dec 2012 was when the new comp rates took effect so I think that is why it says that month. I guess I'm just ready for this to come to a close and everything get finalized.
  12. I know retro is supposed to go from the date filed, however on ebennies it shows from Dec 2013 which is way wrong. My service rep said it will go from the date filed which is over 32 months ago. Any ideas, or just wait for the letter in the mail
  13. why the hell are you coming into my post and asking your own questions, create your own thread and you'll get more views. The COE on ebennies shows I have a rating and the amount. How do I figure out if I get any retro?
  14. Well my VFW service rep called and said the VA made a decision and I should get a packet in the mail from both the VFW and VA in regards to everything. *If I get an SC % what time frame can I expect to see a payment? *34 months and this claim is coming to an end, I think. Now hopefully I don't have to do a NOD for unemployability.
  15. I seriously just had a moment that I broke down over, my claim is at the pending decision phase. I may here something soon. What can I expect? I never got any packages regarding my C&Ps and never got any information on how to get the C&P results.
  16. well the dr wouldn't fill out anything other than what was sent to her by the VA. She looked at my medical information I brought and my MRI and said she'll note that I have further problems. I can't stand this stupid C&P with an outside source to confirm exactly what the VA already has. Now I guess the waiting game to hear back from the VA rater.
  17. Ok I have my TBI/headache/arm numbness C&P on the 8th. I'm going to the VA tomorrow to see a Neuro dr. Should I have him fill out a DBQ?
  18. Well I had my first of three C&P exams. This one was for PTSD. The doctor really just read the VA DBQ questions and then asked a few general questions. Hopefully this claim will finally get settled.
  19. Just got done with my PTSD exam. What a joke the guy just asked the VA DBQ questions and then said "it looks like you are struggling and have PTSD, hopefully the VA will treat you good." Seriously 33mins for you to say that!
  20. No for IVDS and no on Radiculopathy? How do I do those. Currently my claims are PTSD, TBI, Hearing/Tinnitus
  21. I think the disc compression was C4, yes the MRI says that. Its the pinkey side bottom, Ulnar nerve if I remember right. I'm really worried about these exams and am already getting amped up over them.
  22. headaches and arm numbness originally, then the VA doctors started PTSD, TBI, and Hearing. So TBI, PTSD, Hearing, Headaches, Arm and Hand numbness
  23. Yes I have a DD215 and medical stuff from my IED. I have three different C&Ps with different docs. (1) PTSD - to include 6 15min sessions? Really that long to talk about everything, what more do they need? (2) TBI - to include review for headaches, arm numbness, compressed discs, etc (3) Hearing and Tinnitus What can I expect from all this? What are they going to do in 6 15min sessions? I mailed in my DD215 copy and copies of my medical documentation and will bring them to my appointments. What else do I need to do?
