I just checked ebenefits and it's back to gathering evidence and says that decision has been sent. I checked the benefit summary letter and it says his service-connected evaluation is 100% and getting $3356.9 a month. Also says You are considered to be totally and permanently disabled due to your service-connected disabilities: yes

Thanks. Should know something soon since it's in preparation for notification. Already getting 10% for the IHD, 20% for diabetes. Put it in for kidney disease secondary to diabetes, Peripheral vascular disease, Peripheral neuropathy. and tinnitus.

Thanks. The last time he had a stress test was about 3 years ago. A few months later he had a heart attack and a stroke. He did have an echo-cardiogram done a few weeks ago and his ejection fraction is 60%. Here is what was put. b. My father had a C&P exam for a claim to get some secondary condtions to Diabetes and PVD secondary to heart disease. The doctor wrote that his METs are 3-5 on an interview-based METs test. Since 2010 he's been getting 10% for the heart disease. He didn't file a claim for a rating increase on the heart disease. It says this. d. Is the METs level limitation due solely to the heart condition(s)? [ ] Yes [X] No If no, estimate the percentage of the METs level limitation that is due solely to the heart condition(s): [X] The limitation in METs level is due to multiple factors; it is not possible to accurately estimate this percentage e. Thanks. He has an appointment with his doctor in August and after that he's going to file the claims.

My father filed a NOD back in September 2013 for stroke secondary to IHD. He's still waiting for any information on the appeal. He's got several other conditions that he's wanting to file claims for. Does anybody know if Chronic renal impairment is secondary to diabetes type II? His doctor put that in his records in May. He's also been diagnosed with PVD and he went to his podiatrist and on the notes it says that vascular status is barely palpable. He's worried that if he files any more claims it would slow down the appeal. What's the best thing to do? Thanks.

His VSO said that the VA is still processing his appeal. He's going to keep at it. Thanks.

Does anyone know how long on average it takes to get the SOC from VA. My father filed his NOD back in September and has not received anything about his appeal. My father is going to talk to his VSO tomorrow. I've printed out form 9 APPEAL TO BOARD OF VETERANS' APPEALS and my father is taking it to his VSO. My father is just about to give up on the whole thing. Thanks for any help about this.

Yeah he served there all of 1968.

We got a letter today that says that his claim for bilateral vision loss is inextricably intertwined with his appeal for stroke secondary to ischemic heart disease. It goes on to say that since these two issues are intertwined his claim for bilateral vision loss will be addressed with his appeal. He put in the appeal back in September 2013 and we were told in January that we would be getting something for him to sign and send back. This thing is just so frustrating. My father called his VSO in March and was told that it takes several months to get the forms to sign. It's now been 7 months since he filed his NOD. He's going to talk to his VSO on Tuesday to see if he has any information.

My father filed a claim 7 months ago. It's been to the Preparation For Decision stage twice before going back to under review. Now ebenifits is saying Open Claims information is not available at this time. There is nothing that shows he has any open claims. The only thing I see for the claim is the area for unsolicited items it says VA 21-526EZ, Fully Developed Claim (Compensation) received back in September. Does anybody know what that means. Thanks.
