  1. Congratulations! I know the wait is mind numbing.
  2. Carlie, What you just said is worth a lot more than $20. I now understand why I am going and talking to the myriad of people I see every week. It makes more sense to me because I was wondering what was the point of me rehashing all these painful memories just to re-traumatize myself. Thanks for your input it is graciously taken.
  3. Yes maam I am still going to the Vet Center. I have an appointment with him every two weeks.
  4. Yes it is the 12 week CBT program. My concern is although its early I am still experiencing all the symptoms that I had before I took the medications. In some cases its worse. After I talk to her I feel worthless and very depressed.
  5. My case manager has referred me to a social worker who I am now seeing every week. She has given me homework. I have to write about how the traumatic experience makes me feel. Anyone have experience with this type of treatment?
  6. Wow that i amazing news! Congratulations!
  7. Sounds good to me. Awaiting the results of your letter! Congratulations!
  8. Thanks for your reply Carlie. Did you have any weird side effects other than the weight gain? Do you regret taking it now?
  9. Hello everyone, hopefully this post will make sense I have a tendency to go off topic and ramble. After speaking to a fellow vet and reading some stories here I have been assigned a Team to help me cope with my issues. I have a social worker, primary care provider, and a psych. I also see a counselor at the vet center. When I first came here a few weeks ago I had none of these. So I think people are trying to help me but I am always suspicious. So today the social worker called me and said that the psych had an opening and could see me. He gave me some meds I was wondering if you guys have any experiences with. Prazosin 5MG Trazodone 100MG Sertraline 50 MG Propantheline Bromide 15MG Please let me know what you guys think. How should I proceed? I don't want to be a zombie or become worse than I currently am.
  10. That's amazing news. Congratulations.
  11. Congratulations dart you deserve it.
  12. I just checked ebenefits and my clam is now under review. Anyone have a ballpark as to how long before I'll be scheduled for a C&P?
  13. Hello Navy04, Thanks for stopping by. I will keep everyone abreast to everything going on. In the beginning it was hard for me to file a claim because just like the examiners I didn't think anything was wrong with me. I have all my limbs, I don't have to use a wheel chair...so when I see myself compared to other vets who have lost so much it really makes me want to just be quiet. My battle isn't really physical. It's mental. Some days I don't leave my house and it's only getting worse. I wish you success with your current FDC for an increase.
  14. Hello everyone I have been reading through many of the threads on this site and I have seen loads of great information and inspirational stories. I am currently working with a VSO from DAV. He recently submitted a FDC for an increase based on my PTSD worsening. I have some other issues that are attached to that claim also. I really feel like I may have taken some missteps in this whole process but having found this site I am hoping I will receive the correct rating with you guys support. My first claim was basically denied I was granted 10% for a shoulder injury and everything else was 0% or denied. Five years after that I was diagnosed with PTSD and my compensation went up to 40%. I was rated 30% for PTSD. I didn't agree but I didn't do anything. Fast forward to today five years later I have a FDC received by the VA and I am now awaiting the next steps. I am going to document everything here so other veterans who may be going through what I am can read this and see it and hopefully it will help them.
