  1. I filed for the BVA hearing, since they lowballed my claim for PTSD I added that to the mix for BVA at the same time, today I get in the mail, a letter saying they are working on my request for an increase in my PTSD rating, I requested a higher rating going back to Dec 2002. Not to be increased now, I contend they low balled me and my condition warranted the 100% from the beginning. Now they can keep this tied up for another 6 months before they send the file to BVA. rofl
  2. Due to all my congressional letters and letters to the president they have the computer sending me two of those letters every month, does it mean they are doing anything, NO, but they can tell the congress critters they are keeping you informed and quote the date they sent the last letter, it's called CYA.
  3. They referred to a study from the National Center for PTSD as internet trash, they stated that the opinion of my attending was not considered a reasonable medical diagnosis, they preferred a pyschologist statements over a pyschiatrists statements, these are all VA employees, all the Docs, all the raters, and they talk about us doctor shopping. Maybe BVA will give you the satisfaction, it is obvious that the VARO is not going to. Sorry for your set back
  4. My memory isn't the best in the world when it comes to this stuff, but I am pretty sure on the paperwork it asks if your are receiving mental health treatment or have been diagnosed with a mental health problem, so either they have stopped or you are committing perjury or swearing to a false document
  5. I would write the Staff Judge Advocate of the Air Force and ask them to explain it, given that you agreed not to publicly pursue it in the papers, I would presume it has something they have decided is related to either National Security Acts or would somehow embarass the service.
  6. you were in 2/75 when the guys in the pig masks robbed the guys in the commo truck at Yakima? Man that was a long time ago. Wasn't that about the time the Ranger CSM dropped dead of the heart attack on the morning run, you all were just up the street from us, I was in 2/1 Inf back then. You suckers were nuts with all the snakes, explosives and guns they kept in the barracks, stuck in the ceilings and air ducts. I laughed like He33 when they did that shake down on you all. I thought half the battalion was going to the stockade.
  7. without the scooter or electric wheelchair, I think you are shooting craps for the 50,000 house grant, the purpose of it is to make the hallways wider, the bathroom large enough to handle the powerchair, remodel the bath or shower to handle your disabilities, with DDD and sciatica, I don't think it's enough to get the grant approved and appealing it is not going to help, you need a doctor to justify you being in a power chair and that is getting harder to do. not easier. Good Luck
  8. Wayne, I see you have a high opinion of 1801 assembly street yourself. the only thing I keep tellin g my wife is the back pay will be a nice sized check after the three years already. They refuse to work up some of the issues, refuse to address evidence that is in the C File, ignore cardiologist statemenets refuted by a quack on C&P Office at Dorn, saying he is more experienced. I wouldn't let that guy change a band aid.
  9. ginger, you have to report for C&P exams or they can refuse to rate him, they will also more than likely not allow you into the room for the exam, they would not allow my wife, in my case I gave them dates and times of the attack on me, they first said the incident was my fault for being drunk, they never attempted to get corroborating statements, the CID reports, MP reports or even the general court-martials, 2 1/2 years into it I got lucky and a lady at HQ DA JAG, Clerk of Court office ran a name search using my name and she found the four general court martials of the men who tired killing me in alaska and when I gave them the court martials at a "informal meeting" in Jan 05, they finally scheduled me for a C&P exam, they did nothing as far "as duty to assist" they didn't even list the court martials on the evidence they used to award my claim, they used all the information they had for the previous 3 years, the hospital report from Alaska, showing 3rd party liability and my stressor statement. They are just bogus people at the VARO and you have to keep appealing until you get what you want. I applaud you for sticking by him, I have 4 ex's that didn't #5 is happy they didn't, she understands the PTSD and she is part of the treatment we work together for our future.
  10. not to upset you but to explain how it works, or at least worked in my case, I have been under constant treatment since Jan 2003 for PTSD, my GAF scores have averaged from 45 to lows of 30, mostly 30&35's for the past 2 1/2 years I even had a letter from my treating psychiatrist stating that I was permanently and totally disabled by my PTSD and that since I had lived with it for 31 years he did not think I would improve anytime in the future and I was unemployable. The C&P exam was done by a pyschologist who gave me a GAF of 52 and then had to get an MD to co-sign it to give it validity, and the VARO dismissed almost 3 years of treatment and awarded me a 50% SC, yes I am appealing it to the BVA, this was an obvious lowball and I feel it was done because they were mad at me for writing the White House and my Senator and Congressman. The appeals go on, just don't quit.
