Man that sucks i need two caps and a filling, i have been putting it off for a longtime just due to the fact i can't hold my mouth open long with out alot of pain, Byproduct of when they put my skull back together they cut my chewing tendons and then put them back together, i guess they are shorter i have no idea,

I have a few dental issues and got the letter in the mail today they are to overloaded in Fayetteville to see me and gave me some papers to take to a civi dental clinic and have an eval done then they say 15 work days ill get the approval letter and get the work completed in 6 months, Anyone else had this happen to them ?

For the last 5 years and after my brain surgery i have been taking the same meds, Just enroling in the VA system now i spend 20 mins with some lady that claims i should not be taking this or that and changes my meds, adding Zoloft ? Not sure what thats all about but i am still i bit foggy on the reasons, also she made sure and tell me 2 times ill be given a pee test when i come back ? not sure what thats about either last time i used something non-scrpit was about 1975 not sure what shes looking for, The meds bottle had a Male doctors name on it, then person i saw was a woman ? odd GO VA< after she ask me a question 4 times and i didnt understand she dug into my file " oh you need hearing aids" Duha you think ?? Then she sent me over for some xrays, i made sure this time and tell them i have plates in my head with screws and the same in my arm and hip so they didnt try and stick me in the MRI machine again and rip them out !! Big old file and i think they all read the first page, Best one, the lady doctor ask me what happened to your head ?? Huge scars from where they repaired my skull, We had just dicussed that i get migraines and cold air makes it worse from my head injury , It's like sailing the islands with no map or charts you dont know where in the hell your going to end up with these guys ?

Only 13 and me and her mother have been married since she was 2 so its nothing new, just when i was rerated at 100% P & T i added them both on.

Yea the gave her the chapter 35 and champVA and the ID card with all the perks on that but still holding out paying me for her ? it just seems odd but then again who knows with those guys !

Today i was learned my step daughter was added to the ChampVa they said the card is in the mail and she already has her dependent ID, i called Winston Salem to ask if she was added to my disability pay, Nope not yet still pending ? seems odd but they claim they work from two different sets of rules? its back dated on her card and my wifes to march 25 2009, So i am not sure but seems like they would back pay me for her once shes added ? None of the whole process seems to follow any special route ryme or reason. So i guess only time will tell what the local office decides >

Well years in the making and after the 100% P&T letter, It's been constant keeping up with the letters and applying for everything, ChampVA for the wife and daugther, the tags, the Tax change on the house, and now setting up for my first VA doctors visit to try and get my meds , Going for my fist VA appt i am unsure what to expect, my rep said take everthing that i might want to ask or bring up, Hearing aids, glasses, my meds, dental they said 1 hour, i find it hard it belive that ill be spending more than 2 mins with the doctor, So for all those that are ready to give up, dont keep pushing on and the mountain of papers i have now are the result of 4 years of work. Don't let the red tape and re-requesting of items change your mind stay true and keep the goal in sight. i always thought of it was like dealing with the local DMV just 20,000 of those employees its so easy to loose faith or sight of what you need for your service.

Hey guys reviced my P&T 100% papers due to treatment of blast blunt force trama have been to the VA rep 3 days in a row working on filling out all the papers to get the family and everyone enrolled in the system, I was sick for 2 days after getting the award letter it was like all the stress of 4 years of dealing with it all came to a end. Still dont under stand how the Champva works for my family they are so vauge on explaining it. co pays and so on,

Today the big brown one marked Veretans Affairs shows up and i open it slowly not wanting to toss my cookies over the papers. And boom there it is 100% and to my unbeliving eyes they show each item and how it was service connected. They had some records i didnt have and connected the dots and there is where they found the 70% to push me over the top for P & T . They did not give me credit on a couple of the claims but at 100% P&T i said i can live with out them connecting them at this time. Now big Question from those who know, My VA rep is going to line up me and my wife and daughter for our id cards and VA id for my treatment and hearing aids. What else should i be checking into ? i feel almost like i am missing something, Any thoughts would be great thanks again for all the great answers on here to many questions i had.

Update Yesterday 2/9/10 i made my weekly call to the Winstonsalem office to check on my claim and for the first time i was told something new, The VA " person " said that an Award had been granted " but" it had to be sent for a last review and someone else had to sign it before it would be sent to me. Now i have no idea whats going on It is like waiting on Christmas and Doomsday at the same time. So at this point i have no idea if its 0%- 10% or 100% . I will say the SSA kept me up to speed on where my claim was and how long and anything they needed. The VA has had another approach its like dealing with the KGB they ask all the questions and give no answers. Thanks everyone for posting and keeping the unkowing and uninformed on top of whats going on in the world of VA claims. It's hard to belive that something could be more involved than the SSA claim we did.

Thanks for all the hard work everyone has done here in responding to questions, I was active duty from Dec 82 until 94, In the years that followed i had various issues arise until in 07 i was having so many problems i ended up on Total disablilty from SSA. After talking to my VA rep we filed back in Jan 09 for the following, Hearing loss, Lower Back condition, Ringing in the ears, Lymphadenopathy due to fuel exposure, Bilateral elbow condition 3rd surgery dec 09, Bilateral shoulder condition. and the big one Bilateral Dehiscence of superior semicircular canals " in short straining or extreem noise caused the bone to fracture between my brain and my ear canals, resulting in vertigo, even more hearing loss and ocular issues. Resulting in Brain surgery from Chapel Hill in april 2009 to repair one side it was so bad. I went for my QTC exam the doctor was one that had sent me to Chapel Hill in the first place ? seemed odd but i went, The QTC office returned his findings 5 times for him to rewrite what ever he was sending in, that seemed odd to me ? But the nurse i have seen since said it was all in my favor his wording, i just learned today that the ratings board has my papers now, All my issues are backed up with doctors reports and the QTC exam, My VA rep seems to think i have a good chance at TDIU with the SSA finding me unable to work and giving in to my claim in less than 30 days ? But i still have this doubt in my mind that they were wanting something else in the QTC papers was the reason for all the returns ? any input would be Great thanks in advance for all you everyone of your do on this forum. IF they in fact have my claim my QTC was back in Dec 9th 09, is 30 days a realistic time frame to hear something ?
