Seems to me NPRC should have your DD 215! They issued mine after the AFBCMR.

Did you request this Form using their on-line submission?

eVetRecs: Request Copies of Military Personnel Records http://www.archives.gov/veterans/evetrecs/index.html

I tried that and they told me they do not have it. The AF has started keeping ther own records after 2006. I was hopeing Berta had the addy I remember reading about it somewhere.

So I went to the website filled out the form and the NPC says they do not have any record of it on file. Now I rememebr reading somewhere that after a certian date the AF was keeping there own records. Anybody have an idea where to go to next?

  3. Again Accountabilty mmMMMmmmmmmm  sounds familiar but nothing is ever done about it?
This makes me so mad, When I was on active duty I had to be a bailif in a court martial of an E-4 who missed used his goverment issued credit card. He got one year in Jail and  A big chicken dinner discharge. But then we all know young enlisted troops are held to a higher standard then anybody elseJim
  4. I fought the VA for 4 years over back issues. If it was not for my primary care physcian at the VA ordering a MRI I would have never won my claim. I would not sweat it. The can tell from a MRI how long its been. I only had one mention in my service records for a back problem. My QTC exam said as lest as likely or not. So iwas serviced connected.

    Dear Sir

    RE 314/10post

    VA xxx-xx-xxxx

1, I received a rating decision dated 18 may 2007. Consider this letter to be an official “Notice of Disagreement” (NOD) regarding the following disability. I am requesting a DE NOVO review by a new Decision review officer. I wish that the new Decision review officer use Sec. 4.3 Resolution of reasonable doubt. It is the defined and consistently applied policy of the Department of Veterans Affairs to administer the law under a broad interpretation consistent, however, with the facts shown in every case. When after careful consideration of all procurable and assembled data, a reasonable doubt arises regarding the degree of disability such doubt will be resolved in favor of the claimant.

2, I was turned down for an increase in my 0 percent skin cancer on 18 may 2007. I believe at that time the rater had rated me fairly with the information he had in hand.

3 Since that time I have had 2 more skin cancer operations on my nose. I have been informed by my surgeon Dr Chung at the VAMC in Hampton Virginia that I still have cancer in has now moved into my cartilage. There is nothing else the VA can do for me and I will be sent out to a civilian surgeon for another operation.

    4. Since January 1st this year I have already lost 10 days from work due to having operations and follow up care. I do believe that my medical records at the Hampton VAMC fully support an increase in my skin cancer because I am not cured nor have I been cure for the last 4 years.

    6. I fully intend to continue to appeal any further denials of this claim

  6. I need help in understanding what the VA Waiver (under the Pay item description) of $399.00 on my husbands Retiree Account Statement is all about. I called and spoke to DFAS and they "COULD NOT" explain why it is there. My husband is 100% schedular disabled by the VA. I was told there was no off set between his retirement pay and the VA disability pay due to his 100% disability status. I hope I explained that right. My husband served 23 years on active duty and was was medically discharged. I believe he is referred to as a chapter 61 retiree. Does anyone have any idea why this VA Waiver is deducting $399.00 from his retired pay? Thank's for taking the time to read this. Cindy

    CindyUSAf

DFAS is doing you wrong there should be no VA waiver if you husband is 100% Schedule

There should only be a waiver if he is IU. Go the the DFAS my pay account and ask the question why they are still takeing the money out. I would.

  7. <_< Hello All

Some of you might remember I put in for an increase for my 0 percent skin cancer last year. The reason I put in for an increase is because it came back. So I had my 2nd skin cancer operation lo and behold they turned down my increase because I was cured after 2 operations fast forward to this year. Skin caner back operation in Jan, Skin cancer not all out operation in March call from VA Doc cancer down in cartlidge of my nose have to wait to I heeel some more and they will operatate again. Something called moorse surgery? Fee based I think is what he said. So my question to you all is should I just go ahead and submit a NOD from last year (Descion is dated May 24th 07) because obvisoulsy I was not cured? Or start a new claim for increase.

    Thanks all

SOURCE: DFAS RETIRED AND ANNUITANT PAY

So I guess they did not make the deadline agagin. You know when I owed the IRS money I had to pay 6 % intrest. Yet when the Goverment owes us money tough luck.

    Jim

  10. So happy for you, spend/invest it wisely

    Thanks all

Well we decided ) I wanted a boat) but we decided to pay off a few bills and put the rest in a rainy day fund for a while. You men know who we is right.

  11. Okay, I'm piggy-backing on the VA home loan issue somewhat. I am still a long way from seeing the light at the end of the tunnel to repair bad credit and tax issues due largely to my SC issues but one day I hope to realize the American dream of home ownership. The housing and economy news makes this even dimmer but what is a rule of thumb or other beacon of wisdom I should go by to make a long range plan come true one day. Donations accepted lol

    Ok

When I returned from Saudi Arabia the 3rd or was it the 4th time my soon to be xwife had left and kept my check (direct deposit.) So I know a little about haveing bad credit. First thing get a copy of your credit report, Anything over 6 years let it fall off your report don't pay it. Everthing else pay off. Call an make a deal with them. If you owe a hospital 1,000 dollars call and over 500. After you are caught up om your bills you can buy a home. When Ireturned after 1 year in Iceland my credit score at that time was 555. I bought a house with a VA loan. But since you are a disabled vet you will not have to pay any points on a VA home loan. Its a win, win situation. If you need any specfic advise just PM me
