P&t Pernanent & Total Disability

Hi,

I know that P&T stands for Permanent & Total Disability, but what does this really mean? Do you have to be rated at 100% to get P&T? Do you have to be unemploye to get P&T? Are there certain injuries that you have to have to get P&T. If your 100% do you have to request P&T or do they automatically give it to you?

The VA makes a statement with 100% awards as to why they did or did not consider P & T in most cases.

and in Mich you can only get a disabled vet license plate if you are 100 P&T

I got mine it cost $5 and is good for 5 years!

I am only allowed one no matter how many vehicles I have.

Hi,

Yes I am sure that it does say "IMP: AO joint DJD with subacromical bursitis" for his Left shoulder. I typed it exactly from his VA Medical Records, and it states this more than once.

We also believe this is a mistake. But I don't know if they did spraying over in Africa or not and if they did whether this would be a part of it or not.

I do know that VA has stated that because of the time he was in service they have him down for Korean Conflict/Vietnam.

If the VA were to agree that you were housebound by your PTSD then they would be admitting in a backdoor way that you are 100% schedular. To get housebound you have to be at least 100%, so they might bump you up to 100% to justify the HB. They have done it before to a friend of mine who was 70% TDIU and was granted HB and jumped up to 100% schedular at the same time. If there is anything in your records that say you have agoraphobia, fear of crowds or panic then that would be good evidence for HB. I have thought about going for it myself since I a SC for panic and agoraphobia. I am only 80% IU so it would mean having my status looked at again. Pete did it so that is encouragement.

SHE SAYS, " I AM THE MANAGER" AND YOU HAVE TO PHYISICALLY DISABLED." I SAID BULLSHIT IT SAYS NOTHING IN THE REGS ABOUT MENTALL OR PHYSICALL. SO SHE SAYS NO AND IF IT WERENT FOR MY KID I WOULD HAVE HURT THAT LADY. I STARTED SHAKING AND HAD TO LEAVE FAST. I GUESS I FELT A LITTLE LIKE THE GUYS FROM NAM FELT WHEN THEY CAME HOME. THAT IS F@CK YOU JUST LEAVE WAS THE FEELING I GOT. I TOLD HER JUST BECUSE I CAN WALK AND HAVE MY ARMS DOES NOT MEAN THAT I AM NOT DISABLED. SO I CAME HOME AND CALLED MY STATE REP AND TOLD THEM WHAT HAPPENED AND THEY SAID TO FAX THE PAPER WORK TOP THEM AND THEY WOULD LOOK INTO IT. SO HAS SOON AS MY KID WAKES UP I WILL AND I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON WHAT HAPPENS. AND HAS FAR AS THE MANAGER I AM NOT DONE WITH HER. I CALLED DMV HEADQUTERS AND LAUNCHED A FORMEL COMPLAINT.

I got mad reading this. I`m glad it didn`t happen to me or I would have flipped the hell out. Stick with it buddy until this (I better not type it) gets her butt fired. Actually, get you a good lawyer and sue the DMV and her personally.

I kind of agree with Jay about the legal aspect of the P & T status and examinations. I have felt this way even before I was rated P & T. My award states "No future examination". I`m almost 57 so I am not as worried as the younger vets, but it does cross my mind.
