cloudcroft
I especially enjoyed reading this part: "Individuals and their conditions will be reassessed every three years." -- John D. full report: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/20...20071016-7.html
Guest Dataman
Yea like that could happen. Took forever to get Nebuilizer this week. It's a waste of time to reeval most IU folks. But I am sure they will sell the 25% increase on some cost savings or BS. DM
fsmith
I am encouraged about the 25% increase. I think it is doable but we have to get on our senator's and congressmen's phone and stay on it. What alarms me is the re-evaluation every three years. My mental health Doc's tell me I have no reason to be concerned. (thats scarey) THE BIG CONCERN IS THE SEPERATION OF COMBAT AND NON-COMBAT DISABILITY COMPENSATION. I am combat related but those who are not may get the short end of the stick and I am conerned about that I cannot determine how this is supposed to manifest itself and need clairification on the recommendation. cloudcroft
Well, we Chapter 61 retirees have been getting "the short end of the stick" for decades now. -- John D. Edited October 23, 2007 by cloudcroft
buickx
The Bush administration rejected a Dole-Shalala recommendation that the VA pay for lost earnings stop when veterans begin to draw social security. Veterans’ groups strongly opposed a drop in compensation in old age. The White House removed it before sending the package to Capitol Hill
