Letter About "temporary Password Request Code"

Rate this question

Question

My husband received a letter from the local SSA office that gives him a temporary password request code. Does this mean that he was awarded his disability? He hasn't been told anything yet, but it's been five months since he applied, so we're wondering if this is good news, or if everyone gets this letter while the application is pending.

The letter goes on to state "If you are a new beneficiary, please make sure you have received your notice of benefit payment or your first payment before you try to register a password."

It just mean you can logon to website to see Social Security Account Info. At least that is what I was told, does not necessarrily mean your application has been approved
