The thing about SSD is that it is usually administered by some state office who does the disability determinations. You might find out what state office does the determinations and call them. They are the ones who set up exams and make the determination. Weird but true. The best point of contact is probably a SSD lawyer.

How long have you been waiting for a decision, or are you on appeal?

Betrayed, the wait in Michigan is around two years. I am at 18 months so about 6 to go. I have an attorney and I call once in a while to see what the date of the claims she is working on and do the math.

I filed in May of 2006, got denied and filed the appeal October of 2006. If I'm not mistaken isn't that about the time you filed?

I requested my Voc Rehab records from Detroit and am forwarding them to my attorney. Same as the VA, evidence wins claims. Take care. Terry Sturgis

I applied march 2006, 25 months ago. I was denied in october 2006 and hired a

attorney and requested a alj hearing november 2006.

I'm pissed cause under social security's wounded warrior program

I have priority over everyone else at all levels of the process, and all I am getting is pissed 25 months isn't expedited!

I'm also pissed cause I was never examined. They never called my spouse.

The disregarded 500 pages of medical records.

When you get the CDROM with your case on it, it has a case development page

you can read the personal notes of the person who did your case. She put in

there that she received over 600 pages of medical records and most were to old

to be relevant, which was a complete crock.

So they didnt examine me, they didnt read my records (GEEEZ WHO DOES THIS SOUND LIKE)

and I want to get past this part of my life. I have decided to buy a boat 30-40' and live

on it sailing the keys and Caribbean every winter.

I always wanted to be a pirate when I grew up, dont ya know thats why I was a sailor all them years,
