tinnitus Denied

The good ole VA, informed me today, that they denied my calim for tinnitus, because of my mos. I really laughed when I saw that. Just have to file a nod and get some buddy statements. B)

What was your MOS, and do you have a statement from an audiologist that says your tinnitus is at least as likely as not related to your military noise exposure?

Do you have a diagnosis from an Audiologist or at times even a Neurologist

that states in their Medical Opinion you have Tinnitus ?

If you can't get that type of statement from Audiology then did you have

any other injury or illness that may be the medical cause (nexus) to your

Tinnitus.

Some additional medical causes of Tinnitus ,other than noise exposure can be

trauma to the head such as contussion or concussion or Otitus Media

that can causes both Hearing Loss and Tinnitus tho Otitis Media does not

necessarily cause both, but it can. Also there are certain medications

that can present a side effect of Tinnitus.

Check all of the avenues that may be available in your Medical Evidence,

and see if one them maybe as likely as not connected to your military service.

I believe this has to be, by regulations a determination made by an Audiologist

and/or in certain cases a Neurologist.
