Trying To Find Corpsman For Buddie Statement.

Question

I was in the Marine Corps from 1984 to 1988 and was deployed to Okinawa and Korea. We had a Navy corpsman who was very funny and a very good guy. I hurt my ankle while in and I am having problems with it now. I am trying to get a hold of him---I thought I saw on this site where some people were helping others locate lost buddies? I do not really want to join one of those pay services to search some possibly out of date public records. Anybody have any ideas?

Tim I sent you a PM.

YTou can also go to www.military.com. You have to Join but it is free. Do a Buddy search. It depends on if they are a member or not.

I have found several Navy buddies this way and I talk to some of them on a regular basis. I also found out that one of my best friends had passed away after he got out of the NAVY.

Hope this helps.

J

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

Jbasser gave you great advise- the Looking for section at Mil.com- also search for your unit web sites and any reunion rosters and also google the Corpsman's name -on the net.

You might want to consider sending an ad to any of the online Marine Corp magazines- I get Marine Corps Gazette-and Leatherneck hard copy mags but I dont see any Looking For sections in those specific mags-there might be more magazines however-even on line- that highlight Corpsmen-

Biddies can definitely be found with the persistence and legwork.
