Question

Anyone know anything about this drug...? I've done some research on it, but most people online are taking it for other things. My symptoms are primarily irratibility and all the other stuff PTSD shares with us. Anyone else taking it for PTSD? ;)

Actually, there are no drugs for PTSD. The meds are prescribed for the associated symtoms with PTSD whether it be the depression, the anger, the anxiety or a whole host of the other crap that we get to deal with on a daily basis.

Many docs try to convince us that there are really meds to treat PTSD--there aren't.

As for Celexa, I've taken that and had problems with side effects. However, I'm extremely sensitive to almost all meds.

It's good that you looked it up for yourself; also look up and drug-drug interactions with any other current meds that you are on.

I hope it helps you.

Yep! It is used for anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc.. I take it and it and it takes the edge off, where as I don't go off like a whirling dervish every time something rubs me wrong. Citalopram, that is, same as lexapro, just the generic type.. You have to be careful about mixing the cocktail of all the drugs. These type of drugs do not get you high, they only balance your seratonin level. For me they work and I dont want to be a zombie. Just my opinion.

Tagandbag- Thats funny you say the zombie thing. Because I told my doc i needed something I can use while I work and stuff and didnt want to feel like a zombie. lol I also hate that I go from zero to freaking redline in a nano second if you say something simple which rubs me the wrong way. It kinda sucks for my wife because she has to put up with me.... I feel so bad for her..... ;)
