Myasthenia Gravis And Agent Orange

Rate this question

zoe

Question

hello to all

i was just diagnosed with myasthenia gravis and would like to know if there is a valid relationship to agent orange.

i also have ischemic heart disease and have had a double bypass done by the va.

i also have prostate cancer and the surgery was postponed untill they get the myasthenia gravis under control, because it is severely effecting my breathing.

any feedback would be greatly appreciated. if i do not get back to you right off, it is because i will be admitted to the boston va on monday to get my breathing regulated.

thanks to all

I see this post is a couple years old but I’ve been researching this recently. A couple of things I’ve found that you have probably seen. These are exerts from length VA documents.

1.

Citation Nr: 1534590

Decision Date: 08/13/15    Archive Date: 08/20/15

DOCKET NO.  11-14 918A ) DATEEntitlement to service connection for myasthenia gravis is granted.

2.

Citation Nr: 0827706

Decision Date: 08/15/08    Archive Date: 08/22/08

DOCKET NO.  06-20 273 ) DATE

FINDINGS OF FACT

1. On November 6, 1989, the veteran filed a formal claim for

VA compensation or pension for myasthenia gravis, which the

RO adjudicated as a claim for pension, and in a rating

decision in June 1990, the RO granted pension.)
