If you can get your Doc to say you won't get better or your condition is permanent it would go a long way.

I see in your profile you are in your early 40s. Do you have psych/medical documentation that you have had sx of PTSD that meet the 100% criteria for at least 5-10 years? If not, then you'd have a hard time proving it, especially if you just retired from active duty a couple years ago (IOW, you were fully functioning in the job market).

Either way, if your VA shrink and PCP both make notes that say they don't think you will get better then when you do get to the point of applying for P&T it will be in your records.

The other thing to consider is an IMO/IME. The C&P examiner stated very clearly I was 100% "chronic and severe" since I was first treated in the military (30 years ago) and made very explicit statements that I was 100% in Sec G of the C&P exam and the VA still rated me 50% (and that was after I had to fight for sc). So even if all the evidence lines up with 100% P&T they still manage to ignore the evidence and regulations when they rate a claim. I got an IMO/IME from a shrink who did SS claims and he said that even SS doesn't ignore their own examiners. He did a great write up, very comprehensive, and I sent it in and finally got 100% P&T.

Take care,

TS Snave
