If a vet requests a DRO (Decisions Review Officer) to review their claim- they are supposed to get a 'new' look at the evidence -de novo- new review-

because a qualified DRO as a senior VA employee might well interpret the evidence in a more favorable light

the the initial denial rendered.

GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University !

When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief

Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was

simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we."

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

I think myself that the DRO's do have some motivation to grant appeals if nothing else than to justify their existence and job security. If they just rubber stamp denials someone is going to figure out these people don't need to be on the payroll even at the VA.

Dear Fellow Veterans and friends.

I think the DRO process is another waste of time just like the VA's SSOC. Get out of the RO as soon as you can. The more you try to resolve issues with them the more years they can make you wait and complex your case as slap you in the face with silly rulings.

Hi Terry and everyone,

I got the letter asking if I wanted--aDRO or "traditional appeal". Terry, what route would you take other than the DRO? It's an NOD for a 30% ptsd rating. Thanks.
