Claim Questions?

Question

I called the VA today to check the status of my temporary 100% claim for surgery and they stated “it was ready for decision”. What does this mean and how long does it usually take? I am rated 0% for the condition I had surgery on.

Also, will the VA set me up a C&P exam automatically to determine where I stand? My Veterans service officer stated that I don’t need to file for an increase because they would set that up automatically? Any advice?

Leave no doubt! File for an increase. You don't have to go through a service officer. Just send in a statement that you are requesting an increase for your service connected TMJ.

Thats what I am going to do. I also have a meeting next week with the DAV which is close to my house. Do I need to let the VSO I am with now (MOPH) know I am leaving. I feel he really doesen't give a crap about me.

Sorry but I am a little confused. Thats a statement in support of claim. I am serviced connected for TMJ and recently had three surgeries for the problem. I filed for temp 100% and should be receiving the decision anytime now. So the statement in support of claim is what I need to file for an increase?
