My C-file Is At The Vamc!

My C-file is at my VAMC, in the C&P clinic. They said it was four volumes thick.

I placed my initial request for a copy of it at the beginning of November 2009 and heard nothing at all from the VA, despite numerous calls. The only thing I learned was they will not send it for copying until all claims are completed.

I asked the C&P clinic folks if they could route it through the VAMC's Release of Information office. The supervisor was not in the office at both the C&P clinic and the ROI office, but they asked me to follow up tomorrow.

Anyone have any luck getting a copy of their C-file this way?

John,

I agree completely. I have had TMJ for only 16 years, which was caused by botched dental surgery. Chronic pain has been an unwelcome friend ever since.

Also, my former boss got TMJ from a car wreck and had three surgeries to 'fix' it. It only made things worse.

I also had surgery for non service related TMJ on both jaw joints and it got worse some time after. I went to a specialist who got me a splint to wear on upper teeth and whenever I get pain I put it on to relieve the pain. It works for me.

The file at the VAMC in all likelihood is not your C File but your medical records at that VAMC. Do not be fooled.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

pete I get the feeling you are right at the BVA hearing the Judge had 2 dollies with 4 boxes on each dolly with my files in them at the VA for C&P exams they have 3 folders over 3 feet of records most of them would fit in one of the boxes the BVA Judge had that day I seriously doubt if anyone has ever gone thru my entire file in years when I am talking about the gurnies at the VA I mean the shelved ones with 2 shelves they slide the boxes onto I have been at the VA when UPS shows up and it appears the entire truck is nothing but file boxes coming and going to BVA in DC I wish I had the money the VARO spends on postage to Fedex, UPS and the Postal service I think I would feel rich compared to what I get now rofl

Thanks Pete, but I already got all of my medical files from the VA system. Now just to get everything else...
