Got a list of my current rated conditions by code and checked them against last list - some codes changed. Course some coulda got changed by exam but I'm thinking the rating schedule must of updated some. Double checking my codes now. Odd, decision statements don't list codes do they?

I never once saw codes on any of the paperwork I received from the VA.

Vync, I never once saw codes on any of the paperwork I received from the VA.

You have to request a complete copy of your last rating, including the rating codes

My intentions are to help, my advice maybe wrong, be your own advocate and know what is in your C-File and the 38 CFR that governs your disabilities and conditions.

Do your own homework. No one knows the veteran’s symptoms like the veteran. Never Give Up.

I do not give my consent for anyone to view my personal VA records.

My VSO was able to print out my rating codes, they show on my copy of C-File I thinik the VA rating/reception office can print them out. It shows Service Connected and Non-Service Connected diagnostic codes and on mine is called DRO Decision, shows my active duty dates and legacy codes then whats subject to compensation by diagnostic code.

For my children, my God sent husband and my Hadit family of veterans, I carry on.

BoB,

Do i go to release of information for this?

According to your profile you have no service connected disabilities, In order to get a copy of your service connected and non-service connected disabilities codes, you must be rated first. I have noticed if you request a copy of your VAMC medical records they sometimes have a list of your medical condition codes but these are not the same as service connected or non-service connected codes.

pete992,

Those are usually ICD-9 Codes, and you're right - totally different

and unrelated to VA Diagnostic Codes.

Also, for vets that are SC'd. One of the few things the 800 #

can usually provide accurate information on is, if you call

and ask them what Diagnostic Codes you are currently rated under.

They can usually even tell you some codes that are listed

as non-service connected, if you applied for them in the past.
