I filed a claim in feb 09 just got off the phone with 1800 people at Va theytold me I had no exams scheudled that va docs were reviewing my medical records to write a medical opinion. Can someone tell me if this is good or bad.

It could be that you have enough medical data already submitted that is qualitative such, that a C & P exam may not be necessary to determine a rating. I would tend to think that that is kind of good.

and somewhere a blue pig is really flying and whistling the Blue Danube I have never heard of an award being made without a C&P exam being done I have heard of thousands of denials being done without C&P exams I would not get my hopes up on an award being made if a C&P exam has not been done

That happened to me. My file was at the rating board without a C&P. I posted that on hadit and berta got me to thinking that maybe that was not good. I contacted the RO and got a copy of the C&P some how the va thought I was claiming my neck and shoulder injury on my lumbar condition, they had it as secondary. I told them that I claimed it seperatly, good thing that I did because I got a copy of the doctors findings and he stated that it was unlikely that my lumbar strain caused the problems in my shoulders and neck. Hopefuly your situation is different.
