Denied ~

Question

This denial came from Nashville. They said I was denied for Month of Death Payment because the evidence shows that the veteran was not receiving benefits at the time of death..........

What a bunch of illiterate poor performing baffoons!

They said they used the Veteran's claim information to make their decision...they must have read it with their eyes closed, as he was 50% SC for PTSD at the time of his death.

I really did not think they would waste everybody's time with a denial of this issue when the truth is in the pudding and the C-file.

Anybody else lately gotten a denial for Month of Death compensation?

Can you tell I am a bit fired up~

Thanka a lot Hawkfire- this info sure helps me and I hope it helps akwidow.

I get DIC with EED of Oct 1994.(month of death of veteran. They direct deposited his last check (30 % SC) and then withdrew it from the bank right away in Oct. 1994.

I continued appeal he had for higher PTSD rating and they awarded posthunmously -100% P & T back to 1991.

Thus his last check (after I won his pending claim-) wass for 100%SC in 1994 -month of death as my DIC was I think half that or less so they owe me the difference.

I think.

I am applying for this with copy of the reg you posted-to see what they say-
