titlewave
I am taking 8 5mg oxycodone daily and have been for years. At age 62 I was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. Didn't think too much about, thought I was kinda young for that but talking to a buddy of mine, also on oxycodone and he is going in for cataract surgery on both eyes. Same age as me, and I realize that is only two of us. Was wondering if anyone else had similar symptoms?
HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted July 28, 2010 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted July 28, 2010 I have cataracts but there is no way in hell I will let the VA do it. I plan to use Medicare. I am
HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted July 28, 2010 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted July 28, 2010 I use oxycodone and have a catarat in my right eye. Medicare will pay for cataract surgery from a real professional eye doctor who has done 10,000 surgeries. Would I let some VA resident mess with my sight....oh, hell, no. I am 60 years old and I wonder if AO has something to do with cataracts?
SLEDGE
Yes, I'm doing the same thing. It's funny how the VA has been trying to get me into eye surgery for about 20 years. It's funny because my cataracts have never changed over the 20 years. I can see well enough to drive without my glasses. If they want to practice I'll buy them the head of a pig from the local slaughter house. We are not lab rats. sledge
HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted July 28, 2010 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted July 28, 2010 Sledge I want to die happy like my grand father who was still driving at 93 not like my cousins who died screaming when he pulled in front of a truck. Its an old joke not rally so.
halos2
Found this older post but wanted to add I too have bilateral cataracts. Have taken the same meds, as you have for years too. Was exposed to AO in the US though.
