Suspense Date

Rate this question

COOL BREEZE

Question

While checking the VA web site on my claim today, I noticed something strange. On the part where it says(way on the bottom-had to click to open it) it says what have we done-

vamc 678(my va facility) opened 9/03-2010- suspense date-11/2/2010. Normally the suspense date is when they close your claim, receive your decision. So does this mean they started looking at in on Friday and expect to be done by 11/02/2010, or they aren't going to doing anything until that date. Thanks

Today-Suspense date of November 11th was removed once the claim went back to the decision stage to be rated. They had given the local VA until that date to provide copies of the comp exam and medical information to the development team. Thank God it only took until the 10th to receive that information, and then the claim went straight to the rating team. I thought I would share that information so the members can get a idea of the time frame it took for this process. Now just because it is with the rating team doesn't mean its being worked on. All that means someone picked up the huge file(called u-haul) and took it to their desk, floor area, top of cabinet, or rating teams lunch room, ect. It was moved from one side of the bldg to to another area. Trust me, I have a huge calendar that I am tracking how long and where it goes next! I had been told it had almost been completed at the rating team before it was sent back. My vacation is at thanksgiving for 2 weeks, It would be nice to have a good one this year!!!
