Dro Review

I have been told for the last several weeks that my appeal claims are with the DRO. Both the 800# and the iris inquiry say that my claims are still waiting their turn to be reviewed.

My intentions are to help, my advice maybe wrong, be your own advocate and know what is in your C-File and the 38 CFR that governs your disabilities and conditions.

Do your own homework. No one knows the veteran’s symptoms like the veteran. Never Give Up.

I do not give my consent for anyone to view my personal VA records.

It will be a review of the evidence and no hearing. I was told that I maybe contacted but the evidence was submitted again within the last year and my file went back to BVA and BVA returned it to the local VARO for review or Issuance of SSOC. I do feel good about my claims even if I do not get a call or hearing.

Question: On one claim, I requested a Travel Board hearing. Can I request it be converted to a DRO Hearing? What's the best approach? I know - should have checked here before making that decision...

Thanks!

Limbo is status quo for the VARO.

just,

A travel board hearing is done at the BVA appeals level

whereas a DRO hearing is done at your local VARO level.

Carlie,

Thanks for the clarification. I (think) I bypassed the DRO level, and am asking if I should try and get it back to that level, or am I committed at this point?

Limbo is status quo for the VARO.

It's upto you.

Certainly you can withdraw your claim issues that are at the BVA level but you may not

be able to get a DRO now.

Talk to a VBA employee or a VSO.
