Moderator pacmanx1 Posted September 28, 2010 Moderator Share Posted September 28, 2010 I have been told for the last several weeks that my appeal claims are with the DRO. Both the 800# and the iris inquiry say that my claims are still waiting their turn to be reviewed.
carlie
Did you request a DRO De Novo Review or a DRO Hearing ?
Moderator pacmanx1 Posted September 29, 2010 Author Moderator Share Posted September 29, 2010 It will be a review of the evidence and no hearing. I was told that I maybe contacted but the evidence was submitted again within the last year and my file went back to BVA and BVA returned it to the local VARO for review or Issuance of SSOC. I do feel good about my claims even if I do not get a call or hearing.
justrluk
Question: On one claim, I requested a Travel Board hearing. Can I request it be converted to a DRO Hearing? What's the best approach? I know - should have checked here before making that decision... Thanks!

Two different animals.
justrluk
Carlie, Thanks for the clarification. I (think) I bypassed the DRO level, and am asking if I should try and get it back to that level, or am I committed at this point?
carlie
It's upto you. Certainly you can withdraw your claim issues that are at the BVA level but you may not be able to get a DRO now. Talk to a VBA employee or a VSO.
