Question

Ok so i called the va today about my claim. they had my claim divided into two different filings. 1) Hearing and PTSD 2) NSC Pension and other items listed on the SC Va Claim. The 1st claim they said they had all they needed and ordered a CNP exam for the hearing and the ptsd. I completed the last of the 2 exams in Mid September and it was then sent in to the va. I called today and they told me that as of Friday Both claims are in the decision phase and this averages from 15-27 days but can take longer. The question I have is this. I am concerned that with all I have on my claim how is all the rest of the stuff in the decision phase when it was in development all this dime and there did not order a single CnP. That does not seem like a good thing. I wanted to ask for you guys take on this and if you think that the person I spoke with is incorrect tell me what you think. Could he have seen the info incorrectly. As for my ptsd I turned in 6 buddy letter 1 was from my NCOIC in the military which could a-test to my depression and ptsd as well as diabetes. I was treated for depression in active duty as well as i am filing for ptsd due to mst. I am seen weekly by a psycologist. I was 2 weekly groups and i see my psyciatrist every 3 months or so. I live in Georgia and my varo is in atlanta. I am wondering from those in my area about how long after your cnp did you claim mait is to the notification phase. I know a girl who had her money within 2 weeks but she is not down here and the work load is different where she is. just give my your opinions of what you guys think of all this. Thnx

Thnx as usual for your help. I do have ssdi for ptsd due to mst... just though i would ad that.

Not sure what you are asking? If you just want to know your time line that is not possible to know with all the variables the VA uses for each different claim.

Good luck to you! If I missed a question please post it as a question and someone will try and help.

**Cm - the "decision phase" does not necessarily mean that development has been completed and yes it can

take longer than 15-27 days.

**Cm - VA 101 - the 800 number can not provide an accurate tracking of your

claim issues through out the adjudication process.

What additional claim issues,"rest of the stuff" are of record ?

Perhaps the VBA already has enough information in the record to adjudicate the "rest of the stuff".

As for my ptsd I turned in 6 buddy letter 1 was from my NCOIC in the military which could a-test to my depression and ptsd as well as diabetes.

**Cm - the 6 buddy letters and the NCOIC can only provide testimony whether written or oral, weighed as lay evidence,

as to symptoms and events they may have observed in regards to your "depression and ptsd as well as diabetes".

I was treated for depression in active duty as well as i am filing for ptsd due to mst. I am seen weekly by a psycologist. I was 2 weekly groups and i see my psyciatrist every 3 months or so.

**Cm - I am thinking that being you state you were "treated for depression in active duty"

the C&P may have just been for depression and maybe not for the "ptsd due to mst".

Has the VBA stated anything in regards to a stressor due to mst has been conceded ?

Did the examiner question you about the mst ?

I live in Georgia and my varo is in atlanta. I am wondering from those in my area about how long after your cnp did you claim mait is to the notification phase. I know a girl who had her money within 2 weeks but she is not down here and the work load is different where she is. just give my your opinions of what you guys think of all this. Thnx

**Cm - there is no timeframe.

Thnx as usual for your help. I do have ssdi for ptsd due to mst... just though i would ad that.

**Cm - does the VBA have a copy of your SSA information of record yet ?

If not - have you provided the VBA with a ROI to get this information ?

Thnx for your response. I am hoping I can answer right. The CNP Exam was for ptsd not for depression. He did ask me question about the mst. I do not recall anything about the depression. This was on the first claim that they had in development until friday. I only had the cnp exams for ptsd and depression. I do have a nexus in re to my ptst which does in detail go over symptoms. No letter about anything being conceded. I think that was the additional you needed.

thnx again

Well 1 of my claims (1) went to notification on the 12th of Oct. now they did not do any cnp exams on this file but sent it on with the other to the decision phase. I am not feeling positive at all about this claim. This claim also includes my nsc penstion application. Hopefully I will at least get that.
