They will tell you how to contact Fee Basis. I have no clue if there is only one Fee Basis or one for each region. good luck.. I also believe you can only contact them by phone and mail. No walk -ins.. This is the way it was for me.

Is there a particular reason you only see a social worker ?
Jazona
Sorry, Carlie and Retired, didn't see you responses until today. Will try as you suggest, Retired, thanks. Carlie, I recently moved and used to go to weekly group meeting at the Vet Center and my VA shrink wanted me to see someone up here. Had only been to a few meetings and she transferred out. Wanted to see what one has to go thru. Social workers are all they have up here, to my knowledge. thanks, jaz Edited November 13, 2010 by Jazona
carlie
The VAMC would always have a social worker during the daytime. Perhaps you could inquire at the VAMC's patients advocate office.
halos2
The fee basis is at my VAMC, and they have now 4 people working in that area. When I had some guestions regarding mri's never sent to my pain specialist, they had me go to the area and ask for a specific female to help me...50 minutes later I had my report in hand...they have increased the dept from 2 people in the last two years to 4, and they think they might need another one soon too. They do not have certain physicians to cover some areas and no open mri's either. Also why can't you see a psych dr via tele med on the tv at your vet center? I know someone who talks to his psych dr via tv as the VAMC is 135 miles away and the va center(out reach) clinic is 65 miles away. Remember to get your mileage fee too.
