Berta
It is a conflict of interest to have VA paid docs control exams that can lead to denials. The fact that IMOs often generate an award with a full medical rationale that is more medically accurate then a C & P examiner's results proves that C & Ps can definitely be biased. Vets have never questioned the C & P Modus operanda of VA strongly enough with the H and S VACs. The new PTSD rules eliminate a basic right we all have-to get an IMO. When one right we have is lost--- others can follow.
carlie
NOVA and others seem to be attacking the new rules to allow for private doctors diagnosis to be accepted I hope they win. Test, IMO this will not be too difficult to get changed although it will take time as far as the paperwork - red tape. I do not see any legal way they are going to be able to continue not accepting medical evidence from the same pedigree or higher, of mental health professional.
