Mine did that last week after I annoyed IRIS enough to call the local RO to check on a claim for depression and smc-k. I had a 'decision' for SMC-k, now it all says development, so my asking every few weeks to check, since Ebenefits hadn't updated probably was related.

If you asked for a Hearing no decision will be made till you have the hearing. Have you had a C&P for the increase?

Good Luck

VA loves this type of situation. You had several claims in that were probably well on there way to be processed and now you have put in a new claim for hearing loss, so now your claim file has to go back through the development stage for VA to determine or not to send you to a hearing C & P exam and any other type of C & P exam you may need.

Yes this is typical for VA to send a file back to development stage. VA tries its best to rate all claims at one time or defer claims, since you submitted a claim for hearing loss before a decision was made for your PTSD and TDIU, VA sent your file back to development.

I may be wrong but I do not think you will get a rating on your PTSD and TDIU until VA decides on your claim for hearing loss. JMHO

The VA really has us over the old barrel. They claim that new claims will delay current claims, but if we do not put in the claim, look at all the retro we could lose.
